An educational model for all ages

To mark the cathedral's major restoration project, the public institution Rebuilding Notre-Dame has designed an educational model highlighting the work carried out to meet this huge challenge.

Now on display at the Conciergerie at , this remarkable educational tool can be seen for the first time.

Why at the Conciergerie?

The Conciergerie, along with the Sainte-Chapelle and the Towers of Notre-Dame, are part of a unique group of monuments open to visitors by the Centre des monuments nationaux.

These 3 emblematic buildings on the Île de la Cité, gems of Gothic architecture, share a common history rooted in medieval Paris.

The range of skills used by the architects and craftsmen, the exemplary restorations, the illustrious characters... the vocabulary shared by these 3 monuments to the history of France and its memory is vast.

Crossed Mediations

This new collaboration is a continuation of the joint initiatives undertaken in recent years: itinerant tours between the Sainte-Chapelle and Notre-Dame (from spire to spire), meetings and discoveries of the carpentry and stained glass trades on the occasion of the European Crafts Days, and cross-promotional communication aimed at school groups.
